About the artwork

The Baphuon, one of the most fascinating temples on the Angkor site, reveals all its splendour in black and white. Built in the 11th century under the reign of Udayādityavarman II, this mountain temple dedicated to Shiva symbolises the architectural grandeur of the Khmer Empire. Its imposing terraced structure, once topped by a central tower that no longer exists, bears witness to the exceptional skills of the builders of the time. In black and white, the contrasts between the weathered stone and the surrounding vegetation are striking, reinforcing the mystical atmosphere of the site. The play of light and shadow reveals every detail of the bas-reliefs and the steep staircases that lead to the summit, offering a breathtaking view of the jungle. Despite centuries and restorations, the Baphuon retains a timeless aura, recalling the power and spirituality of the ancient Khmer civilisation. A masterpiece of Angkor that, in black and white, transcends time and invites silent contemplation.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
