About ‘The Bode Valley in the Harz Mountains’ by Thomas Bugdoll

On the northeastern edge of the Harz Mountains, the Bode River emerges from the mountains and has carved a deep gorge between the steep, legendary rocks of Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe.
In this gorge, the wildly romantic Bode Valley, exciting myths and legends, fairy-tale forests, babbling brooks and rushing rivers, fascinating rock formations and dreamlike views await the visitor.

Naturally quiet and fabulously beautiful, the numerous mixed forests around the "mightiest rock valley north of the Alps" present themselves. Together with blooming mountain meadows, babbling brooks and refreshing forest lakes, they form the diverse hiking arena of the Bode Valley, which captivates tens of thousands of hikers and nature lovers every year.
