Originally (as the name suggests) from China and its surroundings.
However, also in the Netherlands and Belgium you can find them "in the wild".
In England they are very common, according to the last count about 100,000 specimens in the wild.
With a height of about 50 cm it is a small male, perfect camouflage colors.
Likes to go into undergrowth and will also hide there when there is "danger".
