The Diekloper in Delfzijl is the connecting bridge between the shopping centre and the beach.
A natural connection between city and sea, that's what the new wooden bridge de Diekloper in Delfzijl lays. A 65-metre-long cycling and walking bridge has been designed, the entrance to the new city beach. The bridge guarantees a safe crossing between the promenade and the Eems Dollard beach, allowing residents to once again experience the connection with the Wadden Sea. This photo was taken during a sunset in February 2023. The crane on the right adds another dimension to the photo. In the distance, mill Adam which acts as Delfzijl's skyline exactly in the middle of the bridge.
