This photo was taken during sunset from a small jetty in July '23 in St Oedenrode (popularly known as Rooi) in North Brabant.
Being at the edge of this little fishing jetty gave the photo for me the feeling of hanging above the water, so to speak.
I arrived at this location because I was searching on Google Maps for a nearby location with the Dommel river involved.
This spot turned out surprisingly pleasant for me.
I later edited the photo with Lightroom to make the sky above the Dommel stand out even more.
It is in fact not the Dommel itself but a dead arm/side branch of the Dommel. It flows some 250 to 300 metres further to the left.
In addition to my work in public transport, I am an amateur and hobby photographer, and I am definitely not a professional.
I prefer to be outside in the woods and moors.
