About ‘The Drop’ by Victor Weijers

The Drop captures a moment of tension, movement and anticipation. In this layered collage, skateboarding action is combined with an almost cinematic perspective, in which the viewer feels like both a spectator and a participant. The various layers of imagery – from the rough steps in the foreground to the action in the background – create a dynamic that seems to be in constant motion, even when the image is still.

The work plays with perspective and fragmentation. Through the use of torn shapes and overlapping images, a sense of multiple realities occurring simultaneously is created. The figure in the foreground, partially turned away, reinforces this effect: like us, he is watching the moment as it unfolds. This creates a subtle tension between observing and acting.

The Drop is not just about skate culture, but about the universal moment just before action – the point where everything comes together. It is a visual translation of focus, risk and timing, captured in a raw, urban aesthetic.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
