A silent watch in the shifts of the city
Between weathered areas of colour, behind peeling paper and superimposed signs, an eye emerges - like a fragment from a dream, framed in bright blue, flanked by enigmatic signs.
The eye of the wall is an image of transition - between visibility and disappearance, between speech and silence. It does not look directly, but through. Through time, through layers, through meanings. The surface tells of urban growth and decay: Paper tears, colours fade, but the view remains.
The composition is reminiscent of a ribbon of writing from distant cultures, the visual echo of a place like Hong Kong - condensed, superimposed, mysterious. And yet this is not an image, but a scanning of the inner topography of the urban.
What becomes visible here is not just the face, but the memory of the wall itself. A silent chronicle, written in colour, preserved in fragments.
Art - the sensualisation of the spirit.
