The icon of The Hague and the political heart of the Netherlands the Binnenhof with the Hofvijver. Its history goes back to the 13th century with the construction of a castle Count Willem II of Holland. Over the centuries, it was further expanded into what it is today, one of the oldest parliament buildings in the world.
