About "The Hunter Above the Reeds - Digital Art"

About the artwork

The Hunter above the Reeds is a digital artwork created by a fusion between a drawing and a painting. The drawing was created using drawing techniques of pencil and charcoal and the painting consists of multiple layers of various painting techniques.

The work was inspired by a photograph I took in the Kwade Hoek nature reserve. There I saw in the distance a marsh harrier above the reeds. Just at that moment I was trying out a vintage 300mm telephoto lens from Fodor in combination with a Century 2x tele converter. And despite not being able to focus automatically I was able to take a series of nice sharp photos of this hunter.

In the end, I thought this photo was probably the best of the series and so I turned it into this work of art. It says everything with almost nothing. Also, the image is completely in different shades of brown. No other color. Just dark brown to light brown. A nice touch when the subject is then also the marsh harrier.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
