The small lighthouse of Le Tréport was built as early as 1844, so it looks correspondingly photogenic as a protagonist in front of this beautiful backdrop. A stable high pressure system over Western Europe had ensured cloudless skies for days, which from a photographic point of view made for rather boring pictures. A long-awaited change in the weather finally made the photographer's heart beat faster.
The pier was full of people in the evening hours, so a lot of patience was needed to take advantage of the few moments when no one was in front of the lens for a picture. But perseverance always pays off in the end and so a number of beautiful impressions of this great location ended up on the memory card.
Once again, long exposure times were used to create a more harmonious image of the churning sea.
