The Mysticism of Ancient Worlds

by Christian Ovís

‘The Mysticism of Ancient Worlds’ depicts a low stone arch bridge spanning a narrow stream. Large boulders lie along the water’s edge, partly protruding above the pale water. To the right, a sand-coloured path leads to the bridge. Green banks, trees and gently undulating fields fill the surroundings. The distance fades into a light, warm-grey sky, ensuring the bridge remains the clear focal point.

The landscape is composed of soft earth tones. The beige and brown of the stones blend in with the path; yellow-green and olive-coloured grass connects the banks with the fields further away. Dark shadows beneath the arch lend depth to the bridge. The water forms a gentle meander through the foreground. Leaves and grass are indicated with loose brushstrokes, whilst the stone layers of the bridge remain more clearly recognisable. The overall effect is one of tranquillity and a rural atmosphere.

This landscape wall decoration is ideal for a living room, study or reading corner featuring natural materials. Wood, linen and warm, neutral fabrics complement the muted colours. A plain wall allows the path and the stream to retain their natural flow. Up close, the stones and small details along the banks can be explored; from a distance, the arched bridge forms a clear landmark.
