The machinist pampers his machine. A little oil here, a quick tightening of a screw there, and by the sound the machine makes he can tell if everything is running smoothly again. Chump-chump, bopbopbopbopbop, pshhhhhhh… The big machine hums along contentedly while the large gears turn. But what does the machine actually do?
This is a playful drawing in permanent ink and watercolour. For my drawings, I often choose a general subject, and then the drawing evolves naturally. When I start, I don't know where it will end.
I love this cartoonish style. It suits my drawing style best, and I enjoy incorporating a little humor. Furthermore, there's so much to see, so you can discover something new every time.
I think this series of drawings would be best suited to a child's room. They're colourful and funny, making them fun for children.
