About ‘The Selketalbahn at Hasselfelde station’ by Thomas Bugdoll

The Selketalbahn is the origin of the Harz narrow-gauge railways. The Gernrode - Mägdesprung line was opened on 7 August 1887. This makes it the oldest narrow-gauge railway in the Harz and closely linked to the industrialisation and tourist development of the Selketal. The Selketal is probably the most romantic part of the route network and is considered an insider's tip for nature and romance lovers. In sometimes adventurous track layouts, the railway winds in narrow curves through a pristine landscape. To the right and left of the tracks, rugged cliffs suddenly alternate with flowering meadows, picturesque ponds or vast, lonely beech and oak forests. From Eisfelder Talmühle, you can continue on to the Thuringian town of Nordhausen or towards Drei Annen Hohne, from where you can either climb the Brocken or explore the colourful town on the Harz mountains, Wernigerode.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
