The Skinny Bridge (bridge no. 242) is a double drawbridge in Amsterdam city centre over the river Amstel.
The bridge crosses the Amstel River and connects Kerkstraat and Nieuwe Kerkstraat. The bridge has been a national monument since 2002. On 14 June 2015, it received an ICOMOS Water and heritage shield (Water & Heritage Awareness Shield).
Every year, a concert is held at the bridge on Liberation Day, usually in the presence of Princess Beatrix and King Willem-Alexander. The bridge has been the setting for many a film; the most famous is undoubtedly the James Bond film Diamonds are forever.
