A farmhouse suspended in the mists of the Val d'Orcia.
It was a cold morning at the end of December 2015 in the beautiful hills between Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia.
I was ready with my camera gear from dawn, but that morning the fog wouldn't let it go.
Then finally, shortly after 10, the mists began to thin out, and the fantastic landscape of the Val d'Orcia showed itself in all its beauty.
The mists discover only the essential, an isolated cottage on a ridge and the classic rows of cypress trees along the country roads.
For those who love black and white photography, fog is always a source of inspiration for beautiful minimalist landscapes.
It is no exception, even for this splendid part of Tuscany.
