About ‘The Swan low to the ground’ by Edwin Muller

Due to its shape, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam has been nicknamed 'the Swan' by the local population. The graceful simplicity of the bridge dominates the landscape around the river in the heart of the city.

I captured the city skyline here, with the bridge playing a prominent role. The chosen viewpoint and background accentuate the majestic river crossing. By rendering the whole scene in black and white, the image becomes calm and serene, despite the hustle and bustle of the city around it.
