About ‘The Tidemark at Paal 9’ by Mr White Takes Pictures
After sunset, there is still plenty to see at the tide line on Texel's beach at pole 9. We see a storm breaker with a large group of seagulls on it, scavenging for a tasty snack. Here I used a slower shutter speed, giving the waves and sky some direction. I think black and white works well here, as it brings out the textures…

I am Martijn Wit and I like to photograph nature in my neighbourhood, but I also love to capture the city and the night. I love the play of light in combination with the vintage lenses I use. I like doing macro and close-up photography, so I often lie on my stomach among the bushes. My focus is often on the tranquillity that, if you look closely, can be found everywhere.
