In many temples in Bangkok, including the famous Wat Pho and Wat Arun, you will find a unique tradition where visitors try to leave a coin upright in a special place, often a wooden board or small stand. This practice, deeply rooted in Thai Buddhist culture, symbolises wishing good luck and making an offering to the Buddhist gods for health, prosperity and protection. This ritual act reflects the deep spiritual connection and superstition still alive in the daily practices of Thai people.
