The cathedral of Seville in Spain during the morning light.
The Cathedral of Seville (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede) is a large Gothic cathedral in the Spanish city of Seville and the main church of the Archdiocese of Seville. The cathedral is built in the form of a five-aisled cruciform church with chapels and inside is 127 meters long, 83 meters wide and 43 meters high. This makes it the largest church building in Europe after St Peter's Basilica in Rome and St Paul's Cathedral in London and also the largest Gothic church building in the world. The Giralda, the cathedral's 104.5-meter-high bell tower, is the hallmark of the city of Seville. The Cathedral of Seville has an exceptionally rich inventory. Since 1987, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
