Radio Kootwijk is a former radio station in the municipality of Barneveld in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The transmitter was commissioned in 1927 and operated until 1969. The transmitter is a national monument and is now a museum.
The blue hour is the period after sunset and before sunrise, when the sky has a blue glow. This glow is caused by the diffusion of sunlight through the atmosphere.
A picture of Radio Kootwijk during the blue hour with lighting would be a beautiful image. The tower of the transmitter would light up in the blue glow, while the surroundings would be shrouded in darkness. The illumination of the transmitter would contrast with the dark surroundings.
