The Church of Our Lady of Consuelo of Altea ( Alicante , Valencian Community , Spain ) is a funny temple with rarities. It has its origins in modern times , at the beginning of the 17th century , when it was located next to the castle that protected the town. Later, between 1854 and 1856, the construction of the chapel of the Santísimo Cristo de Altea would begin. The current church was built in the late 19th century and early 20th century and was restored in 1980. [ 1 ] The historical complex, which includes the church, has since been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC). 2013. [ 2 ]
