About "The fabulous four"

About the artwork

Surrealist digital photo collage in watercolor style, in which four identical figures (from a 19th century black-and-white photograph) pose behind pillars of a bridge.

The idea arose with the photo of the identical pillars with identical graffiti tags under the railroad bridge on the Eykmanlaan in Utrecht, how beautiful would it be to put identical characters behind them.

From the final photo collage I made a digital watercolor to make the four figures and their surroundings corresponding in texture and also to increase the artificial character of the scene.

In addition, of course, it is a somewhat alienating, yet cheerful, nod to The Beatles, especially considering the attire is from the same style period that the fabulous four pose with on their album cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
