A beautiful sight; the four winter trees near Grolloo in the Drenthe nature reserve. On a cold morning, I am out in the field early to capture the frosted world. It is white all around me. This group of trees especially triggers me in winter because then it looks like the trees are marching in a row after each other through the field. When the leaves come back on the trees, that's over again. The grasses crunch and crackle under my shoes, a falcon flies up from the smallest tree. But even without a falcon in the picture, I am a satisfied man this morning.
