A narrative poster for the nursery. A friendly fox sits by the water in the forest. At the back, two deer stand in the landscape. There is much to see: a snail on a tree trunk, a nest with eggs, a spider and many different plants.
I made this work for the Mama Leest magazine, as a find-the-differences puzzle. Therefore, there are lots of details to see and that also makes it fun as a poster to look at. There is plenty to see!
The work is digitally illustrated in Adobe Ilustrator. First I sketch the animals with pencil on paper; nothing beats 'real' sketching to hit the right shape. Then I digitally trace the shapes and puzzle everything together into a nice composition.
The surrounding colours are calm and subdued so the orange fox and brown deer stand out.
There is also another colour version, with a cool undertone of green tones in the background.
