About "The giants of Madeira | Ribeira da Janela | Landscape"

About the artwork

The coastal village of Ribeira da Janela, on the north-western side of Madeira, is home to one of the island's most iconic rock formations: Ilheus da Ribeira da Janela, consisting of Ilheus da Rib, Ilheus da Janela and its little brother Ilheuzinho. The rocks were formed by lava and stand a few metres from rocky shores where you can therefore easily admire them from the pebble beach or the higher viewpoint.

My hostel was only a 15-minute drive away from this, so I drove here several times with different weather conditions each time which produced unique scenes time after time. I found several beautiful angles there and played a bit with slower and slower shutter speeds which resulted in the water flowing like a soft veil over the boulders on the beach one time and at slower shutter speeds you can observe the splashing water on the rocks.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
