Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

The goldsmith, Rembrandt van Rijn, 1655
etching and dry needle, h 76mm × b 56mm

This tiny etching is made after an even smaller example of the 16th-century Fleming Dirck Vellert. Rembrandt added a statue of a woman with two children to the hammering goldsmith, symbolising charity. The artist holds his creation just as tenderly as the mother holds her children.
