About "The heart of eternity"

by Klaus Tesching

About the artwork

In the middle of a barren, vast desert landscape rises a monumental hourglass, embedded in a massive stone frame. The imposing structure appears to have been moulded from the earth itself, with a surface marked by cracks and weathering - a testament to its ancient existence. Inside the hourglass flows no ordinary matter, but a shimmering sea of stars that glows as if it harbours the essence of the cosmos.

A cloaked figure approaches the gigantic artefact, its presence tiny in comparison to the overpowering hourglass. The figure's cloak blows gently in the wind as it pauses in front of the glowing monument, as if questioning cosmic time itself. The figure seems to be a seeker, attracted by the magnetic energy of this unearthly structure.

The sky above is a fascinating transition from soft morning colours to the deep tones of night. Clouds criss-cross the horizon, their textures reflecting the duality of movement and stasis - matching the significance of the hourglass as a symbol of the flow of time. The surrounding mountains and rock formations emphasise the infinity of the scenery and draw the eye back to the central, majestic structure.

This work is a powerful metaphor for the fragility of time and humanity's longing to unravel its mysteries. It invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the eternal rhythm of life and the universe. A work of art that dissolves the boundaries of time and space.
