A multitude of trunks, standing like lifelines.
Our gaze wanders through them, weaving in and out, looking for a way through. This photograph was taken as a direct superimposition. Two moments overlap here, two layers of forest, two ways of seeing.
The light slides between the trees, but it's the shadows that dominate. They draw dark furrows on the leaf-covered ground, as if the forest had decided to write something right on the ground.
Nothing has been added. Just superimposed, instinctively, in the breath of a solitary walk.
The black and white accentuates the almost gentle sense of confinement, of being absorbed by a world larger than oneself.
This work speaks of introspection, density and a primitive relationship with space. An invitation to lose yourself without fear.
In an interior, it becomes a silent forest to be gazed upon. A refuge for those who love fertile darkness and unmarked paths.
