About the artwork

The Kiss, Love Couple ( Der Kuss, Liebespaar ) by Gustav Klimt, 1908 - 1909, is one of those works of art in art history that almost everyone knows. The work, which falls under the Art Nouveau, or Jugendstil and Wiener Sesession movement, is decorative and ornate in nature.

With this digital artwork, in the form of a collage, I bring Klimt's kiss into evening light. In a playful way, sparks fly off as the man and woman are depicted somewhere high on the rocks, under the starry sky.

The painting is transformed into the night, and the woman is colored by the warmth of the kiss. At the bottom we find playful elements, such as paint splatters and zebra stripes, to ground and contrast the work.

The original, with gold as the main color, has given way to a more contrasting whole with clear warm cold contrast in foreground and background.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
