Eenum church is a Romanesque church and stands on a mound in the Groningen village of Eenum. The small church was built in the last quarter of the 12th century and is 1 of the oldest brick churches in the province of Groningen. It is a Dutch Reformed church. Land subsidence and earthquakes caused by gas extraction in this area of Groningen have caused damage to the church. I took the photo on an early morning with a beautiful sunrise with some fog and the sky and clouds coloured bright red and orange which again gave a beautiful atmosphere.
