About the artwork

Madaba, in Jordan, is world-famous for its exceptional Byzantine mosaics, dating back to the first centuries AD. This fragment of a mosaic illustrates the cultural and artistic wealth of the city, once an important religious and commercial centre.
Each mosaic, made up of thousands of colourful tesserae, reflects meticulous craftsmanship and captivating stories combining biblical scenes, floral motifs and architectural elements. This particular piece appears to represent an ancient building surrounded by plant details, revealing the life and cultural influences of the period.
The city is also home to the famous Map of Madaba, the oldest known cartographic representation of the Holy Land. Visitors to the archaeological site can explore these remarkable works and immerse themselves in the fascinating history of Madaba, nicknamed "the city of mosaics".

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
