This beautiful otter was incredibly busy doing all sorts of things in its enclosure. In the water, through the stones and over a branch. These animals are always incredibly busy and move around a lot, making a high shutter speed very important.
The light was beautiful on this day, it was overcast with a little bit of sun through the clouds here and there. You can see this in the beautiful, super active face of this otter.
It is my absolute dream to capture as many animals in the wild as possible, in shelters or in zoos. You then make use of whatever light is available at the time, from dark and cloudy to sunny shining! So the time you shoot is super important.
