Painter's studio. Pieter Ringoot (1921 - 2011) oil on canvas.
Impressionist still life of a suitcase with painting equipment and tubes of paint on a wooden chair. In front of a window on a wooden table and on the ground are various objects such as a book, a number of jugs, pitchers and vases, a Belgian bird peck and a bust of a woman with a cloth over her shoulder.
The whole was probably painted in the late 1970s. Although not a typical arrangement, the whole is a still life, meant to study composition, shape, light and shadow effect.
