After a day of hiking in the Nepalese Himalayas, we were rewarded with this view. The sun is slowly setting here, bathing the highest mountain peaks in its red glow.
This is the Machhapuchhre, an imposing mountain nearly 7,000 metres high. The English call it the Fishtail Mountain. You can't see it from this angle, but the mountain peak splits into two peaks. And that looks just like...a fishtail. Fortunately, it is also beautiful when only one peak is visible.
