The seed pods of the poppy are beautiful with their soft grey colour and the little crown on top of the poppy grows in my little city garden and pops up every year, always in a different spot. The opium law used to prohibit having this poppy in your garden. the seed pods are full of black round seeds, which rattle when you shake them. the soft grey of the seed pods contrasts nicely with the dark brown earth underneath. I prefer to photograph it with a 105mm macro lens.
