The Speulderbos is known in the Netherlands as the most beautiful forest in the country. The most famous part is the 'dancing forest' with crooked beech trees.
With this photo, I wanted to show the stately side of the Speulderbos. The sleek straight lines of the pines contrast sharply with the organic shapes of the deciduous trees. Walking there, you feel small as a human being, you get in awe of the forest, and the rich history it has. You realise that you are just 1 of many people who have walked past these trees over time. Stand still, and enjoy.
