About ‘The stormy North Sea at sunset’ by Sander Poppe
Between two hailstorms, the North Sea showed its wildest side off Scheveningen. From the harbour head, I looked out over the pier, where the little red-and-white lighthouse stood firm against the wind, rain and spray. Huge waves crashed forcefully against the basalt blocks, revealing just how much energy was present in the sea.
