About "The sulphurous, lunar shores of Lake Kawah Putih"

About the artwork

Kawah Putih, located in the Ciwidey region near Bandung, is one of Indonesia's most striking volcanic landscapes. This crater, created by the eruption of Mount Patuha, is home to a lake with milky-blue, ever-changing waters, whose colour varies according to the light and the concentration of sulphur. The contrast between the almost unreal brilliance of the water and the whitish banks strewn with charred rocks and tree trunks lends the site a mysterious, almost supernatural atmosphere. You can feel the raw power of geological forces: the fumaroles escaping from the walls are a reminder that volcanic activity is still present. The vegetation surrounding the crater contrasts sharply with the bare, mineral ground of the lake, reinforcing the impression of a lunar landscape. The place is both fascinating and intimidating, a testament to the forces of the Earth capable of creating wonders both hostile and sublime. Kawah Putih is a must-see for travellers in search of strong natural emotions and unique scenery.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
