About the artwork

The traces rust the cracked paint on a ship empty in the harbor.

The cracked paint the layers with the different colors. The primer the roast traces the marks on the hull a scuppers hole in the hull. The sun and the hull the different shades in the black paint.

If you look closely at a ship's hull as in this picture you can discover a lot. When I walk through the harbor and I see a ship like the one in this picture. Then I first take in the ship and look at the traces of her travels from port to port. The ship that sailed across the world with her cargo. I always have to think about where she has been and where is her next port. The crew is not always to be seen but sometimes I can photograph them.

The harbor is an inspiring place for me to be the large cargo ships and smaller ships each have their own story.

Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.

Ship's Eyes_Port Photography raw and honest as the port itself.
