This is an exfoliated Thistle on a long stem that has frost on it due to the freezing cold and damp ambient air, i.e. frozen water vapour that has formed as ice crystals on the Thistle. The detail is very nice because you can still see the crystals very well.
A nice still life of old nature with a winter coat. Two minutes later and a ray of sunshine further and everything is gone again. So you only have a few minutes to take this picture and that is what makes nature so beautiful: sometimes you can find things you can only enjoy for a few minutes and if you then manage to capture it photographically, you can enjoy it a little longer and have a nice picture for on the wall.
People who love nature and have seen it many times can relate it back to their own memories in a nice story.
