This wire portrait shows a sheep with an imposing curly coat and a calm, almost wise look. The structure of the wool is made up of playful, loose lines that sway and twist like real curls. The symmetry of the head gives the image tranquillity, while the interplay of lines keeps moving and draws the viewer in.
The portrait is composed of many loose black threads, which give the work a playful character. Together, they create a vivid image full of texture and movement. The subject shows subtle densities and the background of handmade paper gives the work a warm, natural base.
Perfect for interiors that exude warmth and simplicity. From country kitchen to modern living room. For lovers of nature, farm animals or soft textures.
This artwork is part of my 'wire portraits' series with a number of human portraits and a large number of animal portraits, including small baby animals. These can be found in my personal shop in the 'wire portraits' folder.
This series grew out of my love for materials with character and story. Handmade paper fascinates me. Every fibre, every irregularity is unique and depends on the origin of the paper. The thin black thread makes it fragile and in some places almost seems to merge into the paper itself. This combination, together with my passion for creating portraits of people and animals, ensures that I have worked on each artwork with great pleasure and dedication. Each portrait is carefully constructed using Artificial Intelligence, with an eye for detail and a deep sense of connection. A unique collaboration between human feeling and digital imagination.
