Three fishermen along the waterfront in 1974 - impressionist oil painting on canvas, painted by my grandfather Pieter Ringoot (1921 - 2011)
I have photographed the work in high resolution and digitally restored it where necessary.
The place where this painting was made is unknown. However, my grandfather often went fishing himself. The canals of the Dutch border town of Hulst and the fishing ponds in Moerzeke (along the Scheldt in Belgium ) were his favourites. He therefore captured this fishing theme and these places several times in a number of paintings and drawings.
Some of these works are available on this site as prints. Get inspired by the examples in the rest of this webshop or take a look at galerieringoot.com. This website is a homage to my grandfather's work.
