The molendriegang near Stompwijk is a mill corridor consisting of three windmills. These mills were built around the year 1672 for draining the Driemanspolder, which is now the Nieuwe Driemanspolder. The driegang was decommissioned in 1951 because the three mills did not have enough capacity.
The three mills, owned by the province of South Holland, have been restored in recent years and are grinding capable.
I always enjoy coming there to admire these beautiful mills. This is still a beautiful piece of authentic Holland.
