This particular photo was taken during a workshop by photographer Arend Spaans.
With a fast flash and shutter speed, the jet is as it were 'frozen'. Ne a few seconds, the amazement begins: huh? how can that be? the liquid initially seems to move towards the glass to fill it, but at the last moment decides not to fill the glass. A funny effect, which actually came about by accident. The intention was to take a photo of the glass being filled, with it going back up past the glass. However, the assistant did not slowly tilt the bottle so that the pouring went carefully. Instead, it was a slightly too violent movement, so that the liquid, as it were, rippled out of the bottle 'waved'.
Beautiful on the wall, especially as a series with other photos's from this album!
Cheers!
