A piece of Russian nature in Brabant: the Siberian ground squirrel is a rare sight in the Netherlands, but a permanent resident in Tilburg since the 1970s. Clever, quick and curious - this photo perfectly shows the character of this special animal.
Will this little acrobat soon be hanging on your wall?
Created by Karin van Es.
Karin van Es-De Bruin (Rotterdam, 4 April 1983) is a professional photographer specialising in portrait and personal branding photography. She has mastered the art of capturing not only people, but also their stories. In her work, she focuses mainly on coaches, therapists and other entrepreneurs committed to helping others.
Karin's photography is all about capturing essence, character, strength and unique personality of her clients. She believes in the power of images to connect and convey emotions. Every person has a story, and those stories deserve to be seen. Her motivation to put others in the light comes from her own desire for a world where everyone accepts each other as they are. A world without (pre)judgements, where you can visibly be yourself. What Karin herself once lacked, she now gives to others: a safe place to shine as you are.
Although she has dedicated her career to portrait photography, her love for photography once began with nature and animal photography. The serenity, beauty and harmony of nature have always fascinated her. At Werk aan de Muur, she presents this other side of her work: images that capture the purity of nature and the uniqueness of animals. A contrast to her portraits, but with the same attention to emotion and connection.
