Bird watching at a clay lick can be very interesting. A clay lick in many cases consists of a mud wall on which birds lick the necessary minerals. Early in the morning I sat in a hut near a well-known clay lick and many birds passed by. A Blue-headed Parrot takes a moment to pose while a Chestnut-fronted Macaw glances up from the meal to see what it's doing.
