I took this photo in the forest near Harderwijk on the Veluwe where this water tower stands. The tower is no longer used as a water tower, it now houses a small memorial centre about the Second World War. This water tower is admittedly not that high but it stands on a hill just outside Harderwijk, it is a monument which means it will remain standing even though it is in a nature reserve. As you can see, it was pretty sunny when I took this photo even though it was winter, it was just on the warm side for a winter so there could be no snow. To make this photo, I took 5 photos with different exposures and afterwards merged them into 1 HDR photo. I also chose to take this photo standing so you can see part of the path as a water tower in its entirety. The trees along the path are deciduous trees, I myself thought they were even beeches.
