About the artwork
"Together: Alone with the abstract reflection" is a macro photograph of a fluff ball of a common Dandelion. This ball of fluff lies on a reflective surface, on which small droplets lie. The lint ball itself also carries tiny water droplets. If you zoom in on the dandelion, you can clearly see how beautifully detailed this photo is. When taking this photo, I chose a relatively small depth of field. As a result, the focus is on the "hearts" of the front fluff. As you start looking further back (and forward), the sharpness decreases and the droplets and fluff blur. This brings attention to the front and also creates a sense of depth in the work. The background has a light mottled petrol colour.
This work could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in, for example, the bedroom, dining room, hallway or simply above the sofa in the living room! (Also beautiful on business walls such as in a meeting room or waiting room.
