A couple in love walk in traditional Japanese dress under the beautiful torii (arches) at the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine in the Fushimi-ku district of the Japanese city of Kyoto. An unprecedented array of thousands of bright red torii (gates) make a path through a beautiful green area here. They form a surreal image and provide a wonderful experience as you walk through this semi-open tunnel. Once at the top over a hill, you will find at the top -very unusual for a shinto shrine- the most sacred object of all (in this case, a mirror) is visible to all.
