Cala Pi is a rocky sea inlet about 420 metres long and up to 100 metres wide, located on the cliffs of Llucmajor, about 14 kilometres southwest of the municipality's main town. The bay forms the mouth of the Torrent de Cala Pi, a torrent that only carries water after heavy rainfall. While the settlement Cala Pi adjoins to the southeast and east, the hinterland is not built on. At the southeastern entrance of the bay, on the cape Punta de Cala Pi stands the Torre de Cala Pi, built in 1663, a watchtower to protect against attacks of North African corsairs.
